Sarah Ann Pike

Age: 65

Sex: female

Date: 17 Mar 1910

Place: Anstis Street, Plymouth

Sarah Ann Pike was found lying unconscious in a lane at the back of her house in Anstis Street, Plymouth and died the following day.

She was found bleeding from a wound to the temple and later died in the South Devon and East Cornwall Hospital without recovering consciousness.

It was not known how her wound was caused, but the police said that they had her eldest son in detention, pending the inquest.

However, nothing more is known.

The doctor that examined her said that he thought that her wound had been caused by a kick from a heavy boot.

She had been a widow for over twenty years and had lived in Anstis Street.
